UT Austin: McCombs School of Business
The McCombs School of Business is home to UT’s Accounting Program. There is also a one-year Master’s for those who major in Accounting for undergrad. Courses include introductory Accounting classes, Financial Statement Analysis, Auditing and Other Assurance Services, International Accounting and Transfer Pricing, and more.
Indiana: Kelley School of Business
The Kelley School of Business at Indiana is another excellent program. The school offers majors in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, and a 3/2 MBA program where Accounting majors can get their MBA on year post-grad.
UPenn: Wharton School of Business
Wharton is arguably the best all-around in the nation for Business and their Accounting department doesn’t disappoint. The Accounting concentration for undergrads requires classes such as Strategic Cost Analysis and Financial Measurement and Disclosure, in addition to electives like Taxes and Business Strategy, Valuation, and Accounting for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Complex Financial Structures.
Michigan: Ross School of Business
Michigan’s Ross School of Business is another titan of undergraduate Business programs. They offer a wide ranging list of courses in the area, from Accounting Principles and Auditing and Assurance, to Corporate Financial Reporting and Federal Taxation.
NYU: Stern School of Business
NYU’s Accounting department is housed under the prestigious Stern School of Business. Stern offers a large list of courses in Accounting. Classes range from the basic, to more niche courses like Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles and Accounting and the Blockchain.

Many universities allow (or encourage) students to apply to Accounting programs directly from high school.
